๐ก Project Overview
How can youth workers harness Artificial Intelligence ethically and inclusively โ without losing the human touch? ๐๐ญ
The Erasmus+ Training Course โAI Literacy, Ethics & Safeguarding in Youth Workโ will bring together youth professionals from Germany ๐ฉ๐ช, Denmark ๐ฉ๐ฐ, Hungary ๐ญ๐บ, Romania ๐ท๐ด, and Bulgaria ๐ง๐ฌ to explore the opportunities and boundaries of AI in the youth sector.
Hosted by Copernicus Berlin e.V., this training (Project Code: 2025-1-DE04-KA151-YOU-000297507) focuses on making AI practical, creative, and responsible โ helping youth workers integrate technology for inclusion, accessibility, and participation while respecting ethics and data privacy.
Taking place in Berlin, Germany ๐ฉ๐ช from 8โ15 December 2025, the course provides hands-on sessions, collaborative labs, and a deep dive into how AI tools can improve youth engagement, storytelling, and decision-making.
๐งญ About the Training Course
Used well, AI can expand access (through translation and accessibility tools), amplify youth voices, and make programmes smarter. This training gives you the mindset and skills to do just that โ safely and inclusively.
Through a mix of labs, field visits, and creative workshops, participants will:
๐ก Empower creative practice: use AI for inclusive storytelling, multilingual materials, and accessible content (captions, alt text, easy-read).
๐ฃ๏ธ Enable participation: co-design youth campaigns and consultations supported by AI-assisted brainstorming and moderation.
๐ Become data-smart: apply ethical and lightweight methods to analyse feedback, visualise insights, and improve programmes.
๐ฑ Plan for sustainability: explore open-source tools, budget-friendly methods, and low-tech alternatives to make inclusion possible for all.
๐งฉ Core Activities
๐ง Inclusive Content Studio: Create plain-language explainers, subtitles, and accessibility-checked materials.
๐ค Co-Creation Lab: Use AI ideation tools to design youth campaigns and digital participation activities.
๐ Data for Decisions: Analyse anonymised feedback, identify key insights, and turn data into visual stories.
๐ Project Sprint: Develop a mini โAI-assisted inclusion projectโ such as a multilingual newcomer guide or youth survey toolkit.
๐๏ธ Berlin Field Link: Visit a social-tech hub/startup to see inclusive AI in practice.
โ๏ธ Ethics Threaded Throughout: Learn about consent, transparency, and data minimisation โ keeping people first.
