This hands-on international training brings together youth workers, trainers, and mentors from across Europe 🇦🇹🇨🇿🇫🇷🇩🇪🇮🇹🇵🇱 to strengthen their skills in gender equality, violence prevention, and non-formal education. Together, participants will learn to recognize, respond to, and prevent gender-based violence (GBV) — transforming awareness into meaningful community action. 💪✨

🎯 About the Training

Gender-based violence (GBV) remains one of the most pressing issues affecting young people today. This training course equips youth workers and professionals with the tools, skills, and confidence to address GBV through education, dialogue, and action.

Through interactive sessions, simulations, discussions, and local study visits, participants will:

Understand the core concepts of gender, gender equality, and violence.
Learn to recognize and respond assertively to GBV situations.
Develop local-level action plans for GBV prevention.
Strengthen communication, facilitation, and teamwork skills.

By the end of the course, participants will leave empowered to act as change-makers in their communities — raising awareness, promoting gender equality, and helping end violence in all its forms. 💬🌍

🧠 Learning Objectives

By the end of this training, participants will:
✅ Understand key gender and GBV concepts and cycles of violence.
✅ Gain competences in non-formal education (NFE) and facilitation on sensitive topics.
✅ Learn assertive communication and active bystander techniques.
✅ Co-design concrete local-level prevention activities to implement after the training.
