Take part in an exciting educational project in the heart of France! 🇫🇷📚
Join IFPRA Centre-Val de Loire in Bourges and help students become more active participants in their own education. You’ll collaborate with teachers, support newly arrived allophone students, and contribute to building strong partnerships between schools and the local university.

🎯 Main Activities
- 🏫 Organise clubs and workshops during school hours — from art and games to language exchange
- 👩🏫 Assist with UP2EA classes to support inclusion of newly arrived international students
- 🌐 Strengthen collaboration with the local university (IUT Bourges)
- 🎨 Create and lead hands-on activities during breaks and study periods
- 💡 Propose common school-wide projects involving staff and students
Your role will combine creativity, teamwork, and empathy to make the school environment more engaging and inclusive for everyone.
👥 Participant Profile
We’re looking for volunteers who are:

- 🧠 Interested in education, youth work, or community development
- 🤝 Ready to collaborate with teachers, families, and students
- 🌍 Comfortable adapting to a rural environment and a new culture

No prior experience is needed — just a genuine interest in learning and helping others grow.
🏡 Accommodation, Food & Transport
- 🏠 Accommodation in a local host family or shared housing near Bourges
- 🍽️ Daily lunch at school, with other meals at home
- 🚲 Bicycle available for daily transport; vehicle use possible with valid licence
- 🚆 Free local trains and buses in Bourges
- 💶 Monthly allowance covering food and pocket money
🧭 Training & Support
- 📚 Weekly mentoring and progress meetings
- 🧑🏫 Continuous guidance and learning opportunities in education and youth work
