🌍 About the project

This ESC Humanitarian Aid Volunteering project focuses on empowering women, promoting gender equality, and strengthening community life in Lima, Peru. Volunteers will support training workshops, develop collaborative projects with youth and women, and organize community outreach activities that highlight women’s rights, leadership, and productive skills. The initiative fosters intergenerational learning and builds bridges between vulnerable women, students, and the broader community.

🏡 Accommodation, food, transport

• Accommodation in Punta Negra, on the Pacific Ocean 🌊
• Shared rooms (2 per room) with private bathrooms, kitchen, laundry, and Wi-Fi
• Food stipend: 32 soles/day (~€8) for lunch and dinner
• Transport: distances to project sites range from 5–40 minutes

🎯 Participant profile

• Aged 18–35, resident of an EU Member State, North Macedonia, Iceland, Liechtenstein, or Türkiye
• Must have completed Humanitarian Aid Volunteering training
• No previous participation in Individual Humanitarian Aid Volunteering (12-month cap rule applies)
• Dynamic, compassionate, adaptable, and culturally sensitive
• Passionate about education, women’s empowerment, youth leadership, or sustainability
• Experience in teaching, facilitation, youth work, or community engagement is a plus
