Join the Portuguese Red Cross – Local Branch of Cucujães for an inspiring volunteering journey in the lush and peaceful north of Portugal! 🌿
This hands-on, full-time ESC volunteering experience is perfect for young changemakers aged 18–30 who want to get involved in meaningful, community-focused work with people of all ages and backgrounds. 👫👵👧
🧭 What Will You Do?
🌞 Organize fun and educational activities for children and teens
🏠 Support foster care and children with disabilities
👵 Spend time with elderly locals and support their well-being
🍽️ Assist with meal preparation, laundry, and basic daily needs
🛠️ Help maintain a Pilgrim Shelter and contribute to renovation tasks
🌈 Engage in real, physical, impactful work — not desk-based!
🛏️ Accommodation & Support
🏘️ Shared apartment within walking distance of work sites
🍲 €330/month for food and personal expenses
🚶 Daily transportation (if needed) arranged by the host
🧑⚕️ Health insurance included
🗣️ Online Portuguese language course + on-site mentoring
🎓 On-Arrival and Mid-Term ESC trainings
