The Portuguese Red Cross – Cucujães Branch is offering a long-term ESC volunteering opportunity in a rural town in Northern Portugal. Volunteers will engage in hands-on activities that serve the local population — from supporting children and youth (including those with disabilities or in foster care) to spending time with the elderly, assisting with addiction recovery activities, maintaining a pilgrim shelter, and participating in community projects.

This is a project for those who want to roll up their sleeves, connect with people of all ages, and experience the solidarity mission of the Red Cross.

🏡 Accommodation & Allowance

• Shared, fully-equipped apartment within walking distance of the volunteering sites
• Monthly support: €330 for food & personal expenses

🎯 Who Can Apply?
Volunteers aged 18–30 from eligible countries who are eager to work in a non-desk-based, community-centered role. No prior experience is needed, just a positive attitude, flexibility, and willingness to help.
