Youth Works Hub has gathered 12 fully funded ESC volunteering and humanitarian aid placements open in October 2026 across 8 countries: Azerbaijan, Georgia, Germany, Greece, Italy, Mauritania, Serbia and Uganda. Eight of the 12 are humanitarian aid placements, from monitoring and evaluation in Nouakchott and teacher development in Kampala to social inclusion and media work in Belgrade and Novi Pazar, while the other four are ESC volunteering projects in Italy, Germany and Greece. Our guide to what the European Solidarity Corps is explains how the programme works.
Each call has its own angle:
๐ฒ๐ท Mauritania: a 28-week role in Nouakchott supports the monitoring and evaluation system of MdM's humanitarian health work.
๐ฆ๐ฟ Azerbaijan: in Sumgait, volunteers run English conversation clubs, creative workshops and storytelling for children and young people.
๐บ๐ฌ Uganda: a community school in Kampala looks for a volunteer to introduce learner-centred teaching methods.
๐บ๐ฌ Uganda: a digital empowerment trainer in Kampala teaches youth workers and local communities digital skills and social media marketing.
๐ท๐ธ Serbia: in Belgrade, a project assistant supports social inclusion work with homeless people, ethnic minorities and care leavers.
๐ฌ๐ช Georgia: a communications and fundraising role in Tserovani supports civil society organisations working with displaced communities.
๐ฎ๐น Italy: two calls near Ponte Nizza share daily life with about 10 autistic adults in a rural community.
๐ฌ๐ท Greece: a team in Komotini helps prepare an annual bowling event for athletes with intellectual disabilities.
Taken together, the batch suits people who want to put professional or study skills into humanitarian work, alongside young volunteers looking for rural community life, childcare or sport. Most of the humanitarian calls set limits on previous EU volunteering experience, and our guide to ESC Humanitarian Aid Volunteering explains how this strand works.
European Solidarity Corps volunteering is fully funded: travel, accommodation, food, pocket money and insurance are covered. According to Youth Works Hub's review, two calls are open as soon as possible, in Mauritania and Azerbaijan, and five calls close on 23 October 2026.
