🇪🇸 Erasmus+ Training Course in Spain 🎲 Game Based Methods for Climate Action 🌍

Free training in Spanish for teachers and youth workers on game-based and participatory methods for climate action: webinar (6 Oct), 3 online sessions (Nov) and in-person CLIMATIC session in Málaga (1 Dec).

IMPORTANT: All activities are delivered in SPANISH. Participants must be able to follow and actively take part in Spanish. "¿Nos jugamos el futuro?" is a free training pathway on game-based and participatory methodologies for climate action with young people. It is organised by Coglobal within the Erasmus+ project GAME ON for Climate Action.

OBJECTIVE

To strengthen participants' knowledge of game-based learning and of teaching strategies to address the climate emergency in educational settings, and to experience the CLIMATIC role-playing game first-hand.

TARGET GROUP

Youth workers, teachers, education professionals and other practitioners who work with young people in formal or non-formal settings and have a real context in which to apply what they learn.

STRUCTURE

0. Launch webinar (open to all, gives priority in selection) "Verdad, bulo… y ahora ¿qué? Herramientas para analizar, deliberar y decidir sobre el clima en el aula" Tuesday 6 October 2026, 17:00–18:30 CEST, online. Critical thinking, fact-checking and participation tools for working on climate with young people. The call for the training course will be presented here.

1. Online training course – 25 places

Three 2-hour online sessions: 3, 10 and 17 November 2026, 17:00–19:00 CET.

Session 1: Climate education and participation. Ecosocial framework; mitigation, adaptation, resilience and climate justice; the difference between informing, consulting, deliberating and deciding; digital tools for climate participation.

Session 2: Gamification and game-based learning for sustainability education. Concepts, design, inclusion and evaluation, based on applied cases.

Session 3: Role-play games, deliberation and participatory education. Roles, interests, negotiation, facilitation and debriefing. Throughout the course, participants develop a planning sheet to apply the methods with their own group of young people.

2. In-person CLIMATIC session – Málaga (Spain) 1 December 2026, 3-hour session. Full experience of the CLIMATIC role-playing game, debriefing, review of materials and conditions for replicating it with young people. The session is open to all participants of the online course. Travel and accommodation will be covered for up to 15 participants. Attendance at all three online sessions is COMPULSORY to attend the Málaga session.

3. Follow-up: European exchange in Ptuj (Slovenia) – 1 or 2 places January 2027. Open to participants who complete the training and stand out for applying what they learned. Format and conditions to be confirmed.

SELECTION CRITERIA

Online course: connection to educational work with young people, motivation, possibility to apply the learning, and commitment to the whole pathway. Attending the launch webinar is an additional merit. We aim for a diverse and balanced group in terms of profiles, territories, gender and contexts, including practitioners working with young people with fewer opportunities.

Málaga session (travel and accommodation support, up to 15 places): completion of the online sessions and activities, participation and collaboration during the course, the proposal for applying the methods with young people, and interest in facilitating or replicating CLIMATIC.

Ptuj exchange: completion of the training, application of the learning, quality of the experience or proposal, and commitment to share the results afterwards.

ELIGIBLE COUNTRIES

Participants residing in Spain, Italy, Bulgaria or Slovenia with a working level of Spanish.

ABOUT GAME ON FOR CLIMATE ACTION

The training is part of GAME ON for Climate Action, an Erasmus+ Cooperation Partnership (KA220-SCH, September 2025 – August 2027) coordinated by OIKOS (Italy), with partners from Spain, Italy, Bulgaria and Slovenia.

No participation fee. All activities are free of charge.

Accommodation and food

The webinar and the online course take place online. For the in-person session in Málaga (1 December 2026), accommodation will be organised and covered by the organisers for up to 15 selected participants. Other participants of the online course are welcome to attend at their own cost.

Travel reimbursement

Travel costs to Málaga will be covered for up to 15 selected participants, up to 100 EUR per participant from Spain and up to 200 EUR per participant from Italy, Bulgaria and Slovenia. Other participants of the online course may attend the Málaga session at their own cost.
