At Youth Works Hub, we pulled these together because none of them fit neatly into a single-category batch, but all five are worth a look this week.
Whether you run a sports initiative, want to specialise in Belgium on a funded scholarship, are looking for your first international justice job, or have a start-up idea worth pitching, there is something here regardless of which lane you are in.
Funding and pay vary by listing. The EU Sport Awards offer prize money rather than a salary, the ARES scholarship is fully funded (tuition, flights, living allowance and insurance), and both ICC roles list a net annual salary. Check each listing's own terms rather than assuming one funding model covers all five.

2. 🇧🇪 ARES International Training Scholarships 2027-2028, Belgium

Specialise in Belgium and bring your expertise home. ARES funds 103 advanced bachelor, master's and continuing-education places for experienced professionals from developing partner countries, covering tuition, flights, a living allowance and insurance.
3. 🇳🇱 Associate Administrative Officer (P-2), Netherlands
📅 Deadline: 19 September 2026
Keep the management machine behind international justice running. The ICC Registry is hiring a P-2 Associate Administrative Officer in The Hague, supporting budget, risk, audit and performance reporting at the Court's executive level. €71,403/year net.
4. 🇳🇱 Assistant Planning and Control Officer (P-1), Netherlands
📅 Deadline: 20 September 2026
A rare entry-level P-1 at the International Criminal Court. The Office of the Prosecutor is hiring an Assistant Planning and Control Officer in The Hague, open to strong graduates with zero years' experience and a master's degree. €55,790/year net.
5. 🇪🇺 Youth Start-Up Challenge 2026, Europe
📅 Deadline: 20 September 2026
Pitch your start-up idea to Europe. The European Commission wants bold 18-25s with ideas on the green transition, digital, inclusion or resilience. Three finalists pitch live in Dublin, and the winner heads to the EIC Summit 2027.
Five very different opportunities, one common thread: all are open right now and close within the same four-day window. If you run a sports project, the #BeActive Awards close first on 17 September, so that one needs the earliest attention. The ARES scholarship and the two ICC roles both require meeting specific eligibility (developing-country nationality for ARES, ICC State Party nationality for the Registry and OTP roles), so check those carefully before applying.
Whichever of these five fits, do not wait until the last day: award and scholarship applications in particular tend to need supporting documents that take time to gather.
