🔎 They suit students finalising a work project, or anyone curious how local and regional authorities contribute to EU legislation in fields like Citizenship, Cohesion, Climate Change, Public Procurement and Security, reinforcing academic preparation with first-hand experience of an EU consultative body.

Who Can Take Part

🇪🇺 EU citizens, or citizens of a state that is an official candidate for accession. Third-country citizens may apply and be selected in exceptional cases if their profile is of particular interest to the CoR and they meet Belgian immigration and work requirements.

🎓 Applicants who hold at least a Bachelor's degree (or have completed at least half of a relevant Bachelor's cycle at the start of the visit).

🗣️ Applicants fluent in one EU language with satisfactory knowledge of French or English, who can show they need to deepen their knowledge of the CoR for professional, academic or research reasons.

The Funding Condition (Read This Carefully)

💶 The CoR provides no grant or financial support for a study visit, so to be accepted you must either provide proof of funding from another body (a university, public or private body, or NGO, in the form of a scholarship or grant), or prove the study visit is an integral part of your education (for example required for thesis research or to complete your studies).

🩺 Health insurance cover is not provided (you must have your own for the whole visit), though accident insurance is included.

The Practical Frame

📆 1 to 4 months, extendable up to 6 months depending on available resources, with the start date agreed with the candidate.

🕗 Full-time, 40 hours a week, based in Brussels, Belgium.

📄 On request you'll provide a passport or ID copy, proof of health insurance, a copy of your Bachelor's diploma (or a certificate of half-completion), and proof of any professional experience listed in your application.
