For an early-career HR professional wanting to build a UN career, a P-2 role at UNICEF's global Supply Division is a strong entry point โ€” hands-on HR business partnering inside the UN's largest end-to-end supply chain. UNICEF is hiring a Human Resources Officer at the P-2 level in Copenhagen. At Youth Works Hub we track roles across the UN system, and this one is more accessible than most (a first-level degree and two years' experience), so here is the full breakdown from the official vacancy.

Where the Role Sits

๐Ÿ“ฆ UNICEF Supply Division (SD) works to ensure equitable, inclusive access to essential supplies and services for children and families in development, humanitarian and fragile contexts. ๐Ÿง‘โ€๐Ÿคโ€๐Ÿง‘ Within it, the People and Culture Centre leads strategic HR management โ€” workforce planning, talent management, and building a future-ready workforce across the supply community, providing technical expertise and leadership-development support.

What You'll Be Responsible For

๐Ÿ“ˆ Strategic human resources: contribute to improving P&C systems, policies and processes, benchmark innovative approaches, and support global-policy development through knowledge sharing.

๐Ÿ› ๏ธ Service delivery: support recruitment, HR operations, staff support and performance management, analysing HR cases and recommending solutions.

๐Ÿค Cross-unit collaboration and project support, plus HR data analytics (collecting and analysing HR data, monitoring key metrics and improving reporting), and team management to ensure timely, high-quality P&C services.

Who Can Apply

๐ŸŽ“ Education: a first-level university degree (Bachelor's or equivalent) in business administration, human resources management, business management, international relations, psychology or a related field.
