The United Nations Joint Staff Pension Fund (UNJSPF) is hiring a Contracts Management Officer at the P-3 level in New York, on a temporary appointment of six months with the possibility of extension. Where This Role Sits
The UNJSPF was established in 1949 to provide retirement, death, disability and related benefits for staff of the UN and other member organizations of the Fund. It administers benefits for more than 90,000 beneficiaries in over 190 countries, paid in 18 currencies, and services more than 130,000 participants across 25 member organizations, with offices in New York, Geneva, Nairobi and Bangkok.
๐ This temporary position is located in the Sourcing Coordination Unit of the Business Support Section in the UNJSPF-Pension Administration. The Contracts Management Officer reports to the Chief of the Sourcing Coordination Unit and supports the effective delivery of organizational objectives through sound contract management, acquisition planning and sourcing coordination.
Responsibilities
๐ Manage and administer contracts within the assigned portfolio, monitoring implementation, contractor performance, compliance and delivery of contractual outputs.
๐ Contribute to the preparation and review of procurement and contract management documents, including statements of work, terms of reference, technical specifications, evaluation criteria and requisitions.
๐งญ Provide guidance and support to business units and technical stakeholders throughout the procurement and contract management life cycle, helping resolve acquisition-related issues.
๐ Support the implementation and monitoring of the UNJSPF acquisition plan, considering sourcing strategies, procurement methods, market conditions, inventory requirements and operational needs, and analyze demand plans, budget forecasts, consumption trends and procurement activities to improve acquisition planning.
๐ ๏ธ Assist in developing and reviewing standard operating procedures, internal controls, guidelines and instructions related to acquisition planning, procurement, requisitioning and contract management, and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders on procurement activities and demand planning.
๐ Monitor portfolio performance indicators, review cost estimates, prepare reports, address audit recommendations, maintain complete procurement and contract records, and provide guidance to (and possibly supervise) new or junior staff.

Who Can Apply
๐ An advanced university degree (Master's or equivalent) in business administration, public administration, supply chain, logistics, procurement or a related field is required. A first-level university degree with qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu.
๐ A minimum of five years of progressively responsible experience in supply chain management, logistics, acquisition planning, procurement or a related area is required. Experience with ERP in production planning, scheduling, inventory control, procurement and logistics, and experience in supply chain or logistics in an international environment, are desirable.
