The ONE Global Activists Program in Canada (2026-2027) is a volunteer advocacy programme for people based in Canada who are passionate about demanding the investments needed to create economic opportunities and healthier lives in Africa. As a ONE Global Activist, you gain skills in advocacy and an understanding of development finance, and join a global network of people speaking out for global justice. The application deadline is 31 August 2026.

About the Programme
As a ONE Global Activist, you make an impact on your community, country and the world on key issues affecting Africa, backed by a highly visible, mission driven ONE network of over 1,000 people across Canada, Europe, Africa and the US. You get trained in how to campaign, lobby decision makers and engage the media in a compelling way, then put those skills into practice at ONE events and meetings with high level decision makers, following a decision through to an outcome.

What the Programme Involves
Joining the next cohort means taking part in training to develop skills and knowledge in advocacy, Canadian and global politics and media; joining activists across Canada and the wider ONE Global Activists network across Europe, Africa and the US; taking up opportunities to represent ONE and meet with elected officials; and receiving dedicated support to carry out creative and impactful community actions that further ONE's advocacy work.

Who Can Apply
To become a ONE Global Activist, you must:
