This internship offers the chance to work within the United Nations system, in an international multicultural environment, on the organization of a major international event. The intern will gain experience in organization, management, and international cooperation activities, and a better understanding of IOM's work as an inter-governmental organization in the field of migration, including work on formulating and editing institutional strategies, priorities and workplans. The intern can also access online training courses available to all IOM staff and will have the possibility to interact with IOM staff within Headquarters and IOM Missions as well as external implementing partners.
Supporting the Career Development Roundtable 2026
The intern will support the organization of the Career Development Roundtable (CDR) 2026 with the following responsibilities:
๐๏ธ Assist in the planning, coordination, and delivery of the annual CDR
๐งพ Support with participant registration and related inquiries
๐ค Support the delivery of the conference and parallel events, including the Career Fair and dinner and evening receptions
๐๏ธ Provide assistance to keynote speakers and clinic presenters at the event
๐ Participate in preparatory and planning meetings
๐ค Assist in liaising with suppliers and other event contributors
๐ช๐ช Support with liaison and coordination with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Estonia and other stakeholders in Tallinn
โ Perform such other duties that may be assigned

Who Can Apply
In general, the Internship Programme aims at attracting talented students and graduates who have an interest in, or whose studies have covered, areas relevant to IOM programmes and activities, and who are either enrolled in the final academic year of a first university degree programme (minimum Bachelor's level or equivalent) or have graduated in the last 12 months. In terms of education, candidates should hold a Bachelor or Master's degree in Business Administration, Management, Communications, Public Administration, International Relations or a related field from an accredited academic institution with relevant professional experience. Relevant professional experience in Human Resources and/or project or event management is desirable.
