Description

The Vocational Skills Coordinator is responsible for planning, coordinating, and implementing vocational skills development projects aimed at enhancing the employability and entrepreneurship capabilities of target beneficiaries. This role involves continuous engagement with stakeholders, including trainees, trainers, master crafts, parents, Technical and vocational training institutions, and community organizations and empower participants to achieve economic independence. The volunteer will also provide career guidance, monitor program effectiveness, and support the continuous improvement of vocational training initiatives.

Accommodation, food and transport arrangements

GDCA provides comfortable accommodation close to the office in a furnished one- or two-bedroom flat, equipped with essential utilities like water, electricity, internet, and satellite TV. You’ll have access to a kitchen to prepare your meals, or you may choose to dine at local restaurants or food vendors (with some caution). Transportation for official duties is covered, while personal travel costs are your responsibility. Local taxis and tricycles are commonly used, and international volunteers may drive with an international driver’s license.

As part of the BRIDGE Project (Building Resilience, Innovation, Development, and Gender Equality), volunteers will work toward empowering vulnerable communities, especially women. Training includes skills development workshops, digital literacy enhancement, participation in UN Women Summits, and facilitating digital training sessions. Volunteers will gain hands-on experience in capacity building, stakeholder engagement, and social impact-driven project execution while refining leadership and communication skills.
