RTU Riga Business School (RBS) is an internationally recognized business school within Riga Technical University. Since 1991, RBS has been educating business leaders through internationally oriented degree programs, executive education, and strong industry partnerships. From 2027, RBS will enter a new phase of development through integration of the Faculty of Engineering Economics and Management (FEEM), creating one of the largest and most influential centers for business, management, economics, innovation, and interdisciplinary research in the Baltic region. ๐Ÿ’ถ Remuneration: a competitive monthly remuneration up to โ‚ฌ7,500 gross, together with a social benefit package. The final salary will be negotiated with the selected candidate and will reflect their qualifications, relevant executive experience, professional accomplishments, and potential contribution

The Director will provide visionary leadership and be responsible for the overall strategic, academic, operational and financial performance of RTU Riga Business School.

๐ŸŽฏ Develop and execute a long-term strategy that positions RTU RBS as a leading internationally recognized business school in the Baltic region and beyond

๐Ÿ“š Ensure the highest quality of study programs, research, executive education, and student experience, promoting innovation and knowledge transfer

๐Ÿค Inspire, lead and develop faculty and administrative staff in building a high-performing, collaborative and inclusive organizational culture

โœ… Ensure successful accreditation processes

๐Ÿ’ฐ Financial planning, budgeting, and resource allocation to ensure long-term sustainability

๐Ÿ“Š Monitor RTU RBS performance in achieving measurable strategic objectives and key performance indicators

๐ŸŒ Increase the international visibility and competitiveness of RBS, and represent RTU RBS nationally and internationally by strengthening partnerships with government institutions, industry leaders, alumni, universities, accreditation bodies and international organizations

Requirements for Candidates

๐Ÿ“Œ A Master's degree (or equivalent) in Management, Economics, Finance, Law or another relevant discipline; a doctoral degree (Ph.D. or equivalent) is considered an advantage

๐Ÿ“Œ At least 5 years of experience in managing an organization or a company, with responsibility for strategy, finance, operations, and people

๐Ÿ“Œ Demonstrated experience in strategic planning and implementation, organizational development, and leading transformational change

๐Ÿ“Œ Proven success in financial management, budgeting, resource allocation, and performance management

๐Ÿ“Œ Analytical thinking, planning, and sound decision-making skills in complex environments

๐Ÿ“Œ Experience building partnerships with government institutions and key stakeholders

๐Ÿ“Œ Outstanding communication, presentation, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills

๐Ÿ“Œ Understanding of higher education, university governance, and the public sector environment

๐Ÿ“Œ Fluency in both Latvian and English (minimum C1 level), with the ability to represent RTU RBS effectively in national and international settings

๐Ÿ“Œ An impeccable professional reputation and the ability to meet all legal requirements applicable to public sector executive appointments

The following will be considered an advantage: leading large-scale academic, research, innovation, or institutional development initiatives; building and developing high-performing academic or professional teams; successfully attracting and managing externally funded national or international projects; public procurement and contract management experience; and development of institutional policies and regulatory documentation.
