❗️What Is This Training About?

This training course is created to prepare youth mentors that can provide systematic individual support to young people with fever opportunities. Programme is based on a social service that we are providing to more than 200 young people every year.

ℹ️ Description About The Opportunity

In the last 5 years we as an organization have created a new social service called "Youth mentoring network". Basicly it is nothing new, we just have created a guided system for anyone who wants to become a professional youth mentors and support young people with fewer opportunities individually.

This training programme is based on a programme we use to prepare mentors in 8 municipalities in Latvia and prepare mentors for the biggest mentoring programme in the schools of Latvia.

Development platform YOU+ is the one of the strongest and largest youth organisations in Latvia that is working with a huge spectrum of young people - starting from active and talented young people to young people with fewer opportunities.

Since the establishment of the organisation it has been working on helping local youth to implement their ideas through the non-formal education and EU provided support.

Organisation has organised more than 300 local youth trainings, more than 30 local and international projects in the last 3 years and involved more than 1000 active members that are developing the future projects and local community.

Daily activities include supporting and mentoring youth in the form of local youth mentoring network , coordinating voluntary work in Liepāja, coordinating Eurodesk information network of the west region of Latvia and organising local activities and projects. Also, the organisation is developing Erasmus+ KA3 projects, Erasmus+ Youth work Accreditation, Solidarity projects in European solidarity corps and Voluntary work and Work projects in European solidarity corps.
