Description

Are you ready for a meaningful adventure abroad? Would you like to make a difference to young people in Belgium? Join Wingerdbloei, a dynamic youth care organization in Antwerp, Belgium! We support children and teens (ages 3–21) facing tough challenges - family issues, trauma, behavioral struggles or refugee backgrounds - helping them grow into strong, independent individuals.


As a volunteer, you’ll be a trusted companion and role model, bringing fresh energy and perspective as a motivated, open-hearted young person from abroad. Your presence can truly inspire our youngsters and be impactful! You’ll help by: Organizing fun activities: games, crafts, sports, cooking, cultural nights, … Accompanying youth on outings, appointments, or camps. Assisting with daily tasks: meals, shopping, setting up events. Launching your own creative ideas: we love new initiatives that enrich the lives of our young people.

Accommodation, food and transport arrangements

2 Volunteers are hosted together in a cosy apartment with all necessary accommodation and a good internet connection. Volunteers eat with the youth during activities and receive monthly 280 euro additional as a food allowance. You'll get 6 euro a day as pocket money. We provide traveling by public transport or by bicycle.

Training during the activity

This is more than volunteering. It’s a life-changing experience. You will gain hands-on experience in youth care and the non-profit sector. You'll grow in independence, adaptability, and intercultural understanding. You'll immerse yourself in Belgian and Flemish culture. Your language skills will improve (Dutch, English, or maybe French!) You’ll not only support others. You’ll grow as a young European citizen and can become inspiring for other young people.
