Description
ESN Portugal is looking for a Communication Assistant for the fall semester of 2026, to start in September. This person will support the Communication Manager in the following fields: social media management, graphic design, photography, copywriting, communication, and video-making.
During this period, the volunteer will learn how to develop online and offline communication campaigns to promote mobility opportunities based on advocacy campaigns. Through the development of these campaigns, we want our target the experience of participating in mobility in Portugal and Europe.
The volunteer will be involved in creating the campaign through its planning, preparation, execution and evaluation.
Accommodation, food and transport arrangements
Accommodation options will be provided by ESN Portugal. Each volunteer will have an individual bedroom, in a house with other volunteers. A monthly stipend will be provided to cover meals and local transportation of the volunteers. Pocket money will also be provided. All travel costs of the trip coming to Portugal and going back home are covered.
Training during the activity
The volunteer will be onboarded to ESN Portugal by the Director, head of the Secretariat, and they will have the support and supervision of the Board of ESN Portugal, mainly the Communication Manager. Apart from technical skills, the volunteer will learn to set goals, work in a team, and manage time and resources, which will benefit their future professional and personal life.
You will also participate in ESN Portugal's capacity-building activities, where you will learn hard and soft skills in different fields, such as the internationalisation of education, inclusion, social impact, etc.
Participant profile
-Fluent in written and spoken English;
-Background in communication, media, graphic design or similar;
-Familiar with the concepts of Social Media and online marketing;
-Good knowledge of Adobe software (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator) and/or Canva;
-Proficient user of Microsoft Office and Google Workspace;
-Structured and reliable way of working;
-Capacity of working in a team as well as independently;
-Knowledge of the Erasmus Student Network is a plus.
