Description
ESN Portugal is looking for a Projects and Mobility Assistant for the fall semester of 2026, to start around September 15th. This person will support the National Board of ESN Portugal, mainly the Director and the Secretary, to manage internal and external projects.
As for international projects, the volunteer will learn about projects such as the Erasmus in Schools, the Survival Guide, the European Universities Alliances, and Erasmus+ Youth and Sports. The volunteer will support the application of funded projects that develop mobility in Portugal. The volunteer will also work alongside the Mobility Officer, to help promote opportunities for ESN Portugal's volunteers.
Accommodation, food and transport arrangements
Accommodation options will be provided by ESN Portugal. Each volunteer will have an individual bedroom, in a house with other volunteers. A monthly stipend will be provided to cover meals and local transportation of the volunteers. Pocket money will also be provided. All travel costs of the trip coming to Portugal and going back home are covered.
Training during the activity
The volunteer will have the support and supervision of the Board of ESN Portugal, mainly the Secretary and the Director of the Secretariat. Apart from technical skills, the volunteer will learn to set goals, work in a team, and manage time and resources, which will benefit their future professional and personal life.
You will also participate in ESN Portugal's capacity-building activities, where you will learn hard and soft skills in different fields, such as the internationalisation of education, inclusion, social impact, human resources, etc.
Participant profile
-Fluent in written and spoken English;
-Knowledge about European Union and youth organisations;
-Proficient user of Microsoft Office and Google Workspace;
-A structured and reliable way of working;
-The capacity to work in a team as well as independently;
-Knowledge of the Erasmus Student Network is a plus.
-Knowledge of the Erasmus+ is a plus, as well as previous experience in Youth Exchanges and other projects;
