Nine opportunities close on 14 August 2026, and they cover an unusually broad sweep: a senior banking-and-finance lawyer role at the European Investment Bank in Luxembourg, two Erasmus+ funded internships with a startup non-profit in Greece, four fully funded ESC volunteering placements from Latvia to Romania, and two Erasmus+ learning opportunities, one a free online webinar series and one a residential seminar in Malta. Whether you are a qualified lawyer chasing a role at the EU's own bank, a film or marketing student after a funded traineeship abroad, a young person who wants to spend the year volunteering with refugees or children, or a youth worker looking to sharpen your practice, there is a real deadline here with your name on it. The one thing they all have in common is the date: applications close on 14 August, so this is a decision for today, not the weekend.

The funding picture varies by type, so read it carefully. The European Investment Bank role is a paid legal job, not an internship. The two Greek placements are Erasmus+ traineeships, which come with an Erasmus+ grant and are open to students eligible for a traineeship, with English required. The four ESC placements are fully funded in the usual way: travel to a distance-based grant, plus accommodation, food, local transport, insurance and monthly pocket money, with a mentor on site. Of the two Erasmus+ learning options, the Greek webinar series is fully online and free to join, while the Malta seminar is residential with travel and stay covered. If you scrolled to the bottom, one of these is already nagging at you: the EU bank role in Luxembourg for the qualified lawyer, a funded filmmaking or marketing traineeship in Greece for the student ready to build a portfolio abroad, a year with refugees or nursery children for the volunteer who wants their time to mean something, or one of the two Erasmus+ learning options for the youth worker investing in their own toolkit. This is a genuinely mixed batch, paid work, funded internships, fully funded volunteering and free training in one place, which is rare, and it is exactly why the eligibility line matters: the lawyer post is a professional job, the Greek internships need student status and English, and the ESC placements ask for the standard age and residence conditions plus ESC Portal registration.

What none of them will do is wait. Every one of these closes on 14 August 2026, so the practical move is simple and urgent: pick the one that fits you, open its link, check the exact requirements and get your application in before the day ends. If you are not sure ESC volunteering is right for you or how the funding works, read our full walkthrough first at youthworkshub.org/esc. And if you would rather these deadlines reach you in time instead of finding them by chance, join our broadcast channel through the link in our bio, where every new batch lands first.
