Description

Are you 18โ€“30 years old, living in an EU country, and passionate about sports, outdoor adventures, and protecting the environment? Active Zone Outdoor (AZO), a non-profit organization based in Larnaka, Cyprus, is looking for three motivated volunteers to join the "A3S: Active Sports Solidarity Spirit Vol V" project from October 2026 to March 2027, co-funded by the European Solidarity Corps.

As a volunteer, you will help design and deliver sports and outdoor activities, participate in events such as hiking, rock climbing, beach tennis, organize environmental initiatives, support activities for people with disabilities, and contribute to projects promoting active citizenship and inclusion. You will also conduct research on topics including mental health, green sports, and outdoor education, while helping develop future international projects.

Accommodation, food and transport arrangements

The volunteers will stay in Larnaca, in double or single rooms.

The offices of the organisation are about 15 minutes away by car. Transportation to and from the offices of the NGO and to outdoor venues will be managed by the organisation.

Monthly allowance: (Food & Pocket money) of 400 euro will be given to the participant in the first 5 working days of each month.

The travel expenses will be reimbursed on the basis defined by the European Commission.

Training during the activity

Training on a regular basis will be provided by the organization while two additional trainings will be offered by the Cyprus National Agency.

We aspire to host determined young people who are motivated to participate in Active Zone Outdoor's activities and who strive for the opportunities to learn how to use sport and outdoor activities as a tool for the development of physical and mental health of young people and the enhancement of social inclusion, cohesion and integration for young people with fewer opportunities and disabilities.
