🔷 Activity Details

Description

La Maison des Jeunes (Youth House) of Ciney proposes you to work with the local youth in this project. La Maison des Jeunes de Ciney (Youth House) is a place where all young people aged between 12 and 26 can meet, have fun, and embark on fulfilling projects. Under the watchful eye of motivated colleagues (5 people), this place of meeting and discussion offers many activities to allow everyone to express themselves. Meetings, weekly workshops, projects, outings, camps during the holidays, etc. The volunteer is a member of the team and provides support for the preparation and implementation of collective and community projects organized by both organization for youngsters between 12 and 26 years old.

Accommodation, food and transport arrangements

Accommodation: the volunteer will share a fully-equipped house or apartment with one or two other ESC' volunteers in the town of Ciney. The transport costs from the house to the location of activities will be foreseen and covered, if necessary. Food: the volunteer will receive a budget and will take care of the meals by themself. Volunteers will receive monthly pocket money.

Training during the activity

With the French-speaking National Agency of Belgium: on-arrival and mid-term seminars. With the support organization in Belgium (Association des Compagnons Bâtisseurs asbl, "CBB"): networking activities with other ESC volunteers on other projects supported by CBB in the French-speaking part of Belgium.

Participant profile

We expect the volunteer to be very motivated to join the activity; to be open-minded and pro-active; to appreciate sharing with us the interest for inclusion; to enjoy social contacts and animation; to show willingness to learn more about pedagogical and playful activities; to be motivated to learn French; to feel comfortable with any type of public and able to take initiative.
