๐ท Activity Details
Description
We are looking for someone who would like to engage her/himself in our organisation in several projects:
- Help in the organisation of our small scale participative food distribution project "boufcyclette". The project is based on cycling and participation
- Helping out for the Freeshop with showers. Every Wednesday we host a freeshop with clothes, all based on donations.
- Helping out during our main activity: the drop-in center. We host every Tuesday a drop-in center in which people can drop by for a warm meal and soup, to relax, or to ask questions about their human rights, asylum procedure, social rights, etc. We would like to install an open computer point as well this day.
- there are many more small activities where you can participate. For example, we regularly have cultural trips and sport activities
Accommodation, food and transport arrangements
Very important: since we just started with the program, we can not provide a fixed accomodation yet. Instead, we will give a remuneration to pay for your housing costs. This comes together with the remuneration for food and other expenses. This also leaves you with more flexibility in your housing choices. We can provide help in finding the right accomodation.
Concerning transport, we provide you with a bike-share subscription and a regular public transport subscription.
Training during the activity
Our organisation provides many learning opportunities. By taking part in the activities, you will learn a lot about the rights of people without documents in brussels, about migration rights and social rights in general and the Brussels social and cultural environment. We also provide opportunities for you to engage in workshops of external organisations.
We encourage you to take up language courses, and can provide remuneration for several languages.
Participant profile

- Is interested and motivated to support us in supporting undocumented migrants in Brussels
- is looking to volunteer for a whole year
- Who has at least a good basics in french language, other languages are a big plus
