Description
The Regional Center for Social Policy (ROPS) is a public institution with a crucial social mission-building a high-quality place to live for all inhabitants of the region regardless of the country of origin. The Center provides a holistic form of assistance for migrants staying in Wielkopolska (the information point with all the necessary information on various aspects related to everyday life in Poland, the Polish language and adaptation courses, juridical and psychological support, activities for kids, etc.) You will support the Center in everyday work. Your tasks will include: -running different activities mostly for children and youth (language, artistic, creative) -support in the organization of planned events and meetings -promoting organized activities -taking care of the digital documentation -coming up with an idea for a personal mini-project, that will be planned according to the target group's needs. In summer you will co-lead one of our volunteering camps.
Accommodation, food and transport arrangements
The volunteer will share a fully-equipped flat with two other participants and will have his/her own bedroom. The flat is located around 20 minutes walking from the office. The volunteer receives a fixed amount of pocket money (6 euros/day) and a monthly support allowance. A city transport card is also provided.
Training during the activity
You will participate in the on-arrival and mid-term training delivered by the National Agency. In the first months of the project, Stowarzyszenie Jeden ลwiat, leader of the project, will organize training about SCI and peace education for all the volunteers, hosted by partner organizations. It will be a good opportunity to get to know each other and find out more about Stowarzyszenie Jeden ลwiat and the SCI movement. More trainings will be offered by the Center and Stowarzyszenie Jeden ลwiat.

We are looking for a person: -who will support us in stimulating the cooperation of local communities, -who, by organizing different types of common activities, will create a friendly space for youth and children -who is interested in arts/theater/music/cinema/sports/recreation - who likes to work with different people and cares about the world's future, -is open-minded, flexible and creative, -wants to learn new things, -is responsible and motivated to act. - who has some knowledge of Ukrainian and/or Russian language.
