Description
L'ONG Izum Youth Club è un'organizzazione giovanile itinerante, che svolge le sue attività principalmente a Tallinn, con qualche occasionale trasferta il villaggio di Tammispea. Le principali attività e tematiche del centro - rivolte a giovani dagli 11 anni in su - riguardano le culture giovanili (teatro, musica, danza e arte), l'organizzazione di laboratori e attività ricreative per i giovani (flash mob, teatro forum, giocoleria o diversi tipi di giochi), i media e la comunicazione e l'apprendimento interculturale attraverso progetti internazionali, in particolare con il supporto del programma Erasmus+. Questo progetto offre ai volontari l'opportunità di imparare e crescere, lavorando con bambini e ragazzi all'interno dell'organizzazione giovanile, avendo un contatto diretto con la comunità locale di minoranze etniche e la possibilità di avere un impatto diretto su di essa. L'ambiente del centro è bilingue: oltre all'estone, i giovani parlano anche russo e inglese.
Accommodation, food and transport arrangements
Ti verrà fornito un alloggio adeguato, vicino al luogo di svolgimento del volontariato: in genere si tratta d'un appartamento condiviso o d'un ostello, arredati con le attrezzature di base. La sistemazione può essere singola o condivisa a seconda della disponibilità, con cucina e bagno in comune. Riceverai un contributo di 5 euro al giorno per le spese personali e altri 200 euro al mese per il vitto. Il viaggio dall'Italia all'Estonia e ritorno sarà completamente rimborsato, così come i trasporti locali relativi alle attività saranno interamente sostenuti dall'organizzazione d'accoglienza.
Training during the activity
Parteciperai a tre sessioni di formazione formali: una prima della partenza dall'Italia, una seconda alcune settimane dopo il tuo arrivo in Estonia e una terza verso la fine del tuo periodo di volontariato. Si terranno anche incontri mensili di riflessione per monitorare la tua formazione e le attività svolte. Durante questa esperienza, potrai prendere l'iniziativa e mettere in pratica le tue idee (ad esempio, ideando un tuo progetto locale, organizzando un evento per bambini o altre attività, come condurre eventi per far conoscere la cultura e la lingua italiana alla popolazione locale).

L'obiettivo di IZUM è sviluppare attività per bambini e ragazzi che frequentano il centro. Ci si aspetta che il volontario apprezzi i giovani, interagisca con loro costantemente e mostri un reale interesse per loro e per le attività. Il volontario che cerchiamo dovrà essere proattivo nell'interagire con i giovani, prendere l'iniziativa nel realizzare nuove idee in autonomia, ma anche aiutare gli altri nel processo. La disponibilità ad affrontare le sfide e ad assumersi responsabilità sono qualità importanti, in quanto il volontario sarà una parte fondamentale del team di insegnanti e operatori giovanili di IZUM.
