Il Centro Giovanile di Lääneranna è un'istituzione gestita dal Comune di Lääneranna, che coordina le attività giovanili del Comune, operando principalmente presso il Centro Giovanile di Lihula, ma anche nelle zone circostanti dei Centri Giovanili di Lõpe, Kõmsi e Varbla e collaborando con gli istituti scolastici, con l'obiettivo di supportare i giovani, aiutarli a creare opportunità di volontariato a livello locale e internazionale. Come volontario, sarai chiamato a organizzare e gestire un club di lingua e cultura italiana presso la scuola locale; svolgere attività con i giovani presso la casa dei giovani di Lihula, interagendo con i ragazzi del posto che frequentano il centro dopo la scuola; scrivere una rubrica sulla vita dell'ESC e dei volontari almeno due volte al mese per Lääneranna Noorteportaal; svolgere attività con i giovani e attività culturali presso il Lõpe klubi un giorno a settimana e contribuire all'organizzazione di attività per i giovani presso il Kõmsi noortetuba.
Accommodation, food and transport arrangements
Ti verrà fornito un alloggio adeguato, vicino al luogo di svolgimento del volontariato: in genere si tratta d'un appartamento condiviso o d'un ostello, arredati con le attrezzature di base. La sistemazione può essere singola o condivisa a seconda della disponibilità, con cucina e bagno in comune. Riceverai un contributo di 5 euro al giorno per le spese personali e altri 200 euro al mese per il vitto. Il viaggio dall'Italia all'Estonia e ritorno sarà completamente rimborsato, mente per gli spostamenti a Lääneranna ti verrà fornita una bicicletta . Infine, avrai il supporto di un mentor locale.
Training during the activity
Parteciperai a 3 sessioni di formazione ufficiali: una prima della partenza dall'Italia, una seconda qualche settimana dopo il tuo arrivo in Estonia e una terza verso la fine del volontariato. Acquisirai esperienza pratica nella gestione d'attività educative informali, nuove competenze interpersonali e amplierai la tua creatività e il tuo spirito d'iniziativa: in sintesi, questo volontariato sarà fonte di grande crescita professionale e personale, e tutto questo mentre ti farai tanti nuovi amici, anche grazie alle attività complementari organizzate dall'organizzazione di coordinamento.

Cerchiamo un volontario disponibile a lavorare con bambini e ragazzi dai 7 ai 18 anni, che abbia come principio guida quello di supportare e incoraggiare i giovani della comunità, senza però necessariamente fare e organizzare tutto per loro, poiché sviluppare il senso di iniziativa e imprenditorialità di questi ragazzi è molto importante per il Centro. Pertanto, è necessario essere pronti a lavorare in squadra e ad assumere un ruolo di supporto nell'organizzazione di eventi e attività per e con i giovani. Questo potrebbe richiedere a volte pazienza e comprensione, così come è importante saper lavorare in autonomia quando necessario. Il volontario, inoltre, deve essere preparato alla realtà della vita nell'Estonia rurale. Gli inverni sono bui, il tempo è instabile. I paesi del comune di Lääneranna sono piuttosto piccoli, non ci sono molti negozi, cinema o locali notturni, ma questo è compensato ampliamente dalla meravigliosa natura. Infine, è richiesta dimestichezza con i social media e interesse per la fotografia o la videografia.
