Description
The activity aims to support personal development and professional skills of the young people involved in the project and meanwhile to reinforce the tools of solidarity in the community of the hosting country as a path of active citizenship and social inclusion. With this activity, we will involve young people from different countries in activities connected with the promotion of human rights, volunteering, intercultural learning and international mobility. With the activities proposed in the project, the volunteers will be the protagonists of a path aimed at emphasizing solidarity, human rights and volunteering importance thanks to the use of digital tools (blogs, podcasts, TikTok, Instagram, etc.) as well as face to face activities, workshops and others. There will also be the chance to be involved in the other activities of the organization.
Accommodation, food and transport arrangements
Accomodation: We will rent accommodations close to the city center and to our office in walking distance. In case the distances might be longer, we will foresee solutions for local transports. The association plans to use shared apartments together with other volunteers and/or young locals and students. The apartments are for up to 6 people, in single or double rooms. Food: the volunteers will receive pocket money and money for their own food, quantified together with them on the basis of the figures necessary to live in dignity in the city of Cagliari.
Training during the activity
Pre-departure and cultural related preparation prior to the service organized by the Sending organization in junction with the hosts. On-Arrival Training and Mid-term are foreseen and organized by the Italian National Agency. Orientation training and welcoming at arrival in the country is organized by the Hosting organization. Tasks related training through the months of the service is managed by the Hosting organization. Online linguistic support and Italian language support provided by the Hosting organization through tandem and volunteer-based courses.

- Volunteer with a positive attitude towards the Program and the mobility experience. - Motivation to participate and propensity for cooperation and learning. - Attitude to be part of a project of sharing and cultural exchange, with flexibility and cooperative attitude. - Previous experience in the field of volunteering and active participation also and above all at the local level. - Experience and will to use and explore digital tools and social media. - Ability to comunicate in English (Italian is a bonus, but not a requirement).
