Description
Volunteers will work at different locations along the railway to bring variety to the tasks. Each working day starts at Simpelveld station, which is within walking distance of the accommodation. From there, they will travel by work train to the work locations. Because the train also runs on a regular timetable, some flexibility is needed during the day. A large part of the work will consist of fencing and pruning of shrubs and small trees along the trajectory. Painting of old railway bridges and or fences and benches at the railway stations, also are part of the work.
Accommodation, food and transport arrangements
The accomodation is a stone scouting building, located at the border of the village Simpelveld. It has separate dorms (m/f). We provide airbeds but volunteers need to bring a sleeping bag. A kitchen is available with all facilities. Volunteers will cook and clean together. Sometimes the farmers will cook for you. There is a big indoor and outdoor space for games, dinner, BBQ.
