Description
Join us for a unique long-term volunteering experience in Šibenik, Croatia! Our project combines therapeutic horse riding for children with disabilities and sustainable farm care. We are looking for two volunteers that will assist in preparing horses, supporting therapy sessions, and caring for a variety of animals, including horses, donkeys, llamas, and more. You'll also help maintain the farm and learn ecological practices like composting and water conservation. This is a chance to develop empathy, teamwork, and practical skills, while contributing to social inclusion, animal welfare, and sustainability. Together, we create a supportive, multicultural environment where you can grow personally and professionally while making a real impact.
Accommodation, food and transport arrangements
The accommodation is provided by the coordinating/hosting organisation. The volunteers will receive pocket money and food allowance.
Training during the activity
Volunteers will attend 1-2 trainings provided by the Croatian National Agency (AMPEU, Agencija za mobilnost i programe EU), namely the "on-arrival training" and the "mid-term training". Participation in the trainings is subject to the overall duration of the volunteering service. The accommodation and the travel expenses for participation in both trainings are covered by the National Agency.
