Description

EUtopia is a reality immersed in the countryside of Northern Italy. Participants will have the opportunity to connect with nature and give new life to the structure and the land around it, with the idea of making it a safe and inclusive place for highly vulnerable young people in future European exchange and volunteering projects. The idea is for volunteers to get in touch with the local community and know the history of the of the surrounding area. Important: physical team work will be requested. Main activities: Renovating of the farmhouse; Upcycling activities; Green maintenance; Cooking; Sport activities and Physical health (bike ride; swimming pool; football; etc..).

Accommodation, food and transport arrangements

Pocket money: 23โ‚ฌ per day (the traveling expenses, Visa and insurance costs are NOT included). Traveling expenses: not provide. Accommodation: It will be a logistically challenging environment. Large structure divided into living and sleeping area. There are several bedrooms that will be shared by volunteers (4 or more in each room) and only 3 bathrooms will be available (only 2 bathrooms have hot water). In case you can also use a camping tent. Food: the volunteers will help our staff cooking through working shifts


Training during the activity

The chosen person will get training on all required tasks. The tasks are practical and their impact will affect the improvement of the place. The basic information will be discussed together during training times, upon arrival, and during the month. Photos and videos will be required to document the activities during the month. First 4 days - organized by the coordinating organization Associazione Joint. Final evaluation: 2 days - Youthpass Certificate will be delivered.

Participant profile

The profile of ideal volunteer is a person who is available for the all duration of the project and has strong adaptability. We are looking for a person who is willing to get their hands dirty and provide ideas to get the place better. The profile of an ideal volunteer is: - aged between 18 and 30; - 'MUST be resident /citizen of an EU country or North Macedonia, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Tรผrkiye (including Italy); - available for the all duration of activities; - strong adaptability to basic life conditions (shared rooms, limited shower time, etc); - willing to get their hands dirty and provide ideas to get the place better. - ready for teamwork;- should love open-air activities, love for the nature and be in the nature; - ready to do manual work; - curious person and open-minded
