About the Role

The intern supports the OHCHR Country Office in Tunisia in fulfilling its mission: to work for the protection of all human rights for all people, and to assist those responsible for upholding such rights in ensuring they are implemented. Daily responsibilities depend on your background, and duties may include:

๐Ÿ“š Reviewing relevant information and documents to acquire a basic understanding of the office's mandate, strategic policies, and programmes, and assisting the Human Rights Officers in their work

โš–๏ธ Assisting in analysing information related to the Universal Periodic Review (UPR), treaty bodies, and special procedures, and their follow-up

๐Ÿค Lending support to technical cooperation activities conducted by the Human Rights Officers

๐ŸŽช Assisting in organising meetings, seminars, and official missions, and performing other duties as requested

Who Can Apply

๐ŸŽ“ Enrolled in or having completed a graduate programme, or in the final academic year of a first university degree, ideally in international relations, international human rights law, political science, or a related field

๐Ÿ—ฃ๏ธ Fluency in Arabic and French is required; knowledge of English is desirable
