The Opportunity

The Project Finance Internship provides essential financial and administrative support within Finance Management. Under the guidance of the finance team, this role assists in financial tracking, document verification, and reporting to ensure alignment with the organisation's requirements and policies.

Key Responsibilities

Financial and Administrative Support

๐Ÿ“„ Assist in reviewing payment requests, invoices, and supporting documents for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with internal policies and donor requirements

๐Ÿ“Š Ensure expenditures are properly documented, authorised, and aligned with the correct project budget lines, and support the preparation and tracking of payment documents

๐Ÿ“ˆ Monitor the liquidation of advances and outstanding balances, and assist with basic budget variance analysis and project forecasts

๐Ÿ—‚๏ธ Maintain secure, organised, and traceable digital and physical filing systems to support audit readiness

Partner and Field Support

๐Ÿค Oversee the receipt of financial documents from Implementing Partners, track partner financial submissions, and prepare summary trackers

๐Ÿ“‹ Coordinate with partners to prepare financial documents and follow up to resolve missing or unclear documentation

General Finance Support

๐Ÿ” Provide financial documentation during internal and external audit fieldwork, and help prepare materials for project coordination meetings

Who Can Apply

๐ŸŽ“ A final-year bachelor's or master's student, or a fresh graduate, in accounting, financial management, banking, commerce, or a related field

๐Ÿ“† Able to commit to a 3 to 6 month full-time internship

๐Ÿ’ป Strong proficiency in spreadsheets (Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, G-Suite), with a solid understanding of data organisation, formulas, and database maintenance

๐ŸŽฏ Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail; prior experience or volunteering with NGOs is highly desirable
