About the Role

This position is located at UN Trade and Development (UNCTAD), in the Division on Technology and Logistics (DTL). Under the supervision of the Team Lead of the Performance Measurement function of the ASYCUDA Programme, the intern will support the improvement of ASYPM dashboards and interface.

Responsibilities

๐Ÿ“Š Assist in assessing the impact of integrating Apache ECharts on the interactivity, responsiveness, and analytical capacity of ASYPM dashboards

๐Ÿ’ป Assist in redesigning ASYPM's UI to optimise user engagement, usability, and performance, while ensuring compatibility with the existing ASYCUDA architecture

Who Can Apply

๐ŸŽ“ Enrolled in, or having completed, a graduate programme in Computer Science, or in the final academic year of a first university degree in Computer Science

๐Ÿ“ˆ Computer literate with a good background in data visualization and software engineering

๐Ÿ› ๏ธ Knowledge of software development with Jakarta EE, Java, VueJS, and/or Quarkus is desirable; familiarity with data analytics and dashboard design is an asset, as is good knowledge of JavaScript visualization libraries

๐Ÿ—ฃ๏ธ Fluency in spoken and written English is required; knowledge of French is an advantage

๐Ÿ“ Duty station: Geneva, Switzerland (hybrid, in-person or remote)

๐Ÿ“† Duration: six months, from 7 September 2026 to 5 March 2027

๐Ÿ•’ Type: unpaid, full-time (five days, 40 hours per week); interns cover their own travel, visa, accommodation, and living costs
