The intern will provide general administrative support to the Human Resources Unit, carrying out HR-related tasks including local recruitment, administration, and personnel files.

Responsibilities and Learning Objectives

๐Ÿ“‹ Provide clerical assistance for the smooth running of Human Resources processes and activities

๐Ÿ—‚๏ธ Assist in recruitment processes, including circulating vacancy announcements, arranging interviews, preparing interview and technical test materials, supporting reference checks, and messaging candidates

๐Ÿ“ Maintain orderly personnel files (electronic and hard copy), ensuring they are complete and filed, including e-filing in WAVE HCM

๐ŸŽช Support the organisation of meetings, training activities, and HR events through logistical arrangements, correspondence, and document preparation

โœจ Perform other related duties as assigned

Training and Learning Elements

Qualifications

๐ŸŽ“ Currently in the final academic year of a Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management, Psychology, Industrial Psychology, Behavioural Sciences, Business Administration, Organizational Development, or a related field, or a recent graduate (within one year)

๐ŸŽ‚ Between 20 and 36 years old, with less than two years of relevant working experience

๐Ÿ’ป Knowledge of HR principles, proficiency in Microsoft Office, strong written and verbal communication, the ability to maintain confidentiality, and strong organisational skills and attention to detail

๐Ÿ—ฃ๏ธ Fluency in English (oral and written) is required

The Details

๐Ÿ“ Duty station: Manila, Philippines (in-person)

โณ Duration: 2 to 6 months

๐Ÿ’ถ Depending on experience and location, interns receive a small monthly stipend to help offset costs (not applicable to those already receiving an internship allowance or scholarship). IOM covers interns against occupational accidents and illnesses, but interns must arrange their own medical insurance for non-occupational matters
