As part of its mandate in Morocco, UNICEF supports national partners in improving children's living conditions, realising their rights, and protecting the most vulnerable. Since 2018, UNICEF Morocco has also supported Morocco's efforts to promote the rights of migrant children, within the implementation of the National Strategy for Immigration and Asylum and the Integrated Child Protection Policy (PPIPEM). Within the child protection programme, several actions are under way, including:

About the Internship
UNICEF Morocco is seeking an intern to support ongoing work and assist the Migration Programme Officer in implementing and monitoring the project. The internship aims to:
๐ Support the capitalisation of tools and resources developed on the protection of children in migration, and the updating of an online resource and training platform
๐ Support the documentation of activities implemented and results achieved
๐ค Assist the Programme Officer in various activities related to the child protection and migration project
๐ Give the intern in-depth, practical knowledge of project management and the working culture within international organisations, particularly the United Nations system
Your Tasks
Under the supervision of the Child Protection and Migration Programme Officer, you will:
๐๏ธ Take part in design, planning, and monitoring meetings for initiatives and activities
๐ช Contribute to organising upcoming project events, as well as international days and other key moments
๐ Support the development of presentations and other documents in French and English
๐ค Provide occasional support to other operations led by UNICEF's child protection and migration programme, in cooperation with its partners
Who Can Apply
๐ Currently enrolled in a bachelor's or master's degree, or recently graduated, in education, sociology, political science, international relations, demography, or social sciences
๐ฃ๏ธ Fluent written and spoken French and English; Arabic is an asset
๐ป Proficiency in standard office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and in website design and development
๐ค Excellent communication skills, strong adaptability, and good interpersonal qualities
๐ Experience in project management (internships, student projects, etc.) is a strong asset
The Details
๐ Duty station: Rabat, Morocco (in-person and remote)
โณ Duration: 3 months, starting as soon as possible, with possible renewal depending on availability and needs
๐ถ A stipend of 2,000 MAD per month will be paid to the intern
๐ป The intern must use their own computer equipment and provide proof of health/medical insurance covering the internship period
๐ Field travel may be required
