๐Ÿ”ท Activity Details

Description

You will be one of four long-term volunteers we will be hosting this year, and your main area of focus will be our sustainability projects in Lojtra, particularly those related to our garden. Lojtraโ€™s garden began as a community garden about 7 years ago when a small group of local enthusiasts met weekly to grow together. Nowadays, we are transforming it into a learning garden, which will serve as a location for workshops and as a good example of practices for working with permaculture on a small scale. Part of the garden is now exclusively for herbs with therapeutic qualities, which was built in cooperation with a local herb farm, Hanuman. The project will involve cooperation with a number of our local partners who work in ecological farming practices. This is will provide you with the opportunity to learn in addition to contributing to their work. Read the whole infopack here: https://canva.link/gunkco0kz5rd2jz

Accommodation, food and transport arrangements

You will get monthly food and pocket money allowance. We will provide you accommodation in a shared flat, together with other two long-term volunteers. You will also get bycicles to comute from your flat to Litija city. Read the whole infopack here: https://canva.link/gunkco0kz5rd2jz Apply here: https://forms.gle/C4FqnvbheMuBQW2D6

You will be included in our training courses on topis of youth work, sustainability and art to get some new knowledge. ๐Ÿค What is a supporting organisation in ESC volunteering โ€” and why does it matter for you? Most people know about sending and hosting organisations in ESC projects, but the role of the supporting organisation is far less understood โ€” and far more important than it appears. This article clearly explains what a supporting organisation does, how it fits into the structure of an ESC project, and how its involvement directly affects the volunteer's experience and support throughout the programme. A must-read if you want to fully understand how ESC is structured. ๐Ÿ‘‰ https://youthworkshub.org/6051/

๐Ÿ’ก What do organisations actually look for in an ESC volunteer?
