L'organizzazione d'accoglienza è un plesso bilingue privato che accoglie bimbi d'età che va da 2 mesi a 6 anni. Lo staff è composto da professionisti e studenti che seguono le attività dei bimbi in stanze adatte al lavoro pedagogico, a cui s'aggiungono un grandissimo spazio giochi interno, e un ampio giardino protetto dove svolgere attività all'aperto per tutto l'anno. Le aree interne sono arredate in modo da creare un ambiente ideale per lo sviluppo dei bambini, come fosse per loro una seconda casa. Nel tuo volontariato aiuterai nella cura dei bambini bilingui (Tedesco/Inglese) lavorando a stretto contatto con lo staff professionale; svolgerai attività di gioco e apprendimento con i bimbi, creando varie attività; aiuterai lo staff nei cómpiti gestionali, come la preparazione della colazione o la pulizia delle stoviglie; parteciperai ad attività di formazione e a eventi di gruppo. L'attività comincia intorno alle 8 per circa 35 ore a settimana, generalmente nei giorni feriali.
Accommodation, food and transport arrangements
Abiterai in stanza singola, in un dormitorio oppure in un appartamento condiviso con altri giovani, ambedue soluzioni ben attrezzate. Riceverai 594 euro mensili per le spese personali e l'acquisto dei generi alimentari. Il viaggio d'andata e ritorno dall'Italia alla Germania ti sarà completamente rimborsato, se non eccede i limiti previsti dall'U.E., mentre localmente riceverai un abbonamento annuale ai trasporti pubblici in Germania. Un'assicurazione convenzionata con l'U.E. ti coprirà in caso d'incidente o malattia. Ti verrà assegnato un mentor che t'affiancherà in ogni evenienza personale.
Training during the activity
Avrai 3 momenti formativi ufficiali: una formazione prepartenza prima di lasciare l'Italia, una seconda formazione qualche settimana dopo l'inizio del tuo volontariato in Germania, e una terza formazione a circa metà del tuo volontariato. Se lo desideri, potrebbe esserci la possibilità di partecipare a un corso di Tedesco, per migliorarne la padronanza. L'organizzazione di coordinamento organizzerà regolarmente incontri con te per sapere come procede il progetto, mentre lo staff del plesso ti fornirà tutta la formazione necessaria a svolgere al meglio i tuoi cómpiti quotidiani.

In questo progetto la preferenza viene assegnata a un candidato con padronanza almeno intermedia sia dell'Inglese che del Tedesco. Il volontario ideale è una persona entusiasta all'idea di lavorare con bambini d'età molto piccola e supportarli nel loro sviluppo. A parità d'altri fattori, si privilegeranno le candidature di profili che abbiano già avuto esperienze in asili o contesti simili, o che abbiano svolto studi specifici in materia, affinché quest'esperienza di volontariato sia portatrice di contenuti formativi che possano essere effettivamente d'ausilio in un eventuale futuro professionale.
