L'organizzazione d'accoglienza è un plesso scolastico pubblico che comprende un asilo e una scuola primaria. Si trova in un quartiere con un certo tasso d'immigrazione, con relative conseguenze sui piani culturale e linguistico. Il plesso privilegia un approccio pedagogico in cui si dà particolare importanza agli aspetti psicologici ed emotivi e all'educazione valoriale, aprendosi ampiamente nei confronti della comunità locale. Come volontario potrai occuparti di: attività pedagogiche formali e non formali (attraverso giochi), laboratori creativi, apprendimento attraverso l'esperienza, attività artistiche e musicali, educazione alla sostenibilità ambientale, supporto scolastico individuale o a piccoli gruppi (anche d'età mista), attività d'educazione comunitaria e intergenerazionali, attività sulla salute psicoemotiva e di promozione valoriale, altre iniziative personali proposte da te, cura del giardino scolastico e promozione del volontariato europeo presso la comunità.
Accommodation, food and transport arrangements
Sarai ospitato in una stanza singola all'interno d'un appartamento condiviso con altri volontari a Cartagena. Ti verrà però richiesta una cauzione iniziale, che ti verrà rimborsata alla fine del volontariato. L'appartamento è arredato e con internet, e le utenze sono pagate (entro i normali limiti di consumo). Riceverai un'indennità mensile di 370 euro per le spese di vitto e personali. Il viaggio d'andata e ritorno dall'Italia alla Spagna sarà completamente rimborsato, mentre per muoverti localmente potrai scegliere tra usare la bicicletta o ricevere l'abbonamento per il trasporto pubblico.
Training during the activity
Avrai tre momenti formativi ufficiali: una formazione prepartenza prima di lasciare l'Italia, una seconda formazione, detta "all'arrivo", qualche settimana dopo l'inizio del tuo volontariato in Spagna, e una terza formazione, detta "di medio periodo" dopo la metà del tuo volontariato. Nel quotidiano, gli altri insegnanti e l'intero staff del plesso saranno sempre disponibili a guidarti e supportarti nel corso della tua esperienza. Questo volontariato è un vero e arricchente scambio di conoscenze, valori, esperienze e competenze tra te e il contesto sociale e umano in cui sarai inserito.

Sarai selezionato in base al tuo atteggiamento, alla volontà di partecipare, alla motivazione e all'impegno nei confronti dei valori del progetto, piuttosto che alle tue conoscenze e alle tue competenze specifiche. Sei il nostro candidato ideale se sarai pronto ad assumerti la responsabilità, se avrai lo spirito di iniziativa, la pazienza e la capacità di prendere le distanze dagli eventuali conflitti. Tu che hai l'entusiasmo e la disponibilità a partecipare alle diverse attività offerte sei proprio il volontario che l'organizzazione di accoglienza sta cercando, se sei pronto a lanciarti nell'attività quotidiana d'un plesso scolastico, e ti piace proporre idee, progetti e iniziative personali in àmbito educativo. Non ci sono prerequisiti particolari per candidarsi a questo progetto, ma, date le sue caratteristiche, a parità d'altri fattori sarà data priorità a chi abbia già maturato esperienze in contesti educativi (formali o informali) o un'inclinazione professionale verso l'ambiente scolastico, e a chi abbia già conoscenza della lingua spagnola.
