The European Investment Fund (EIF) is recruiting a Trainee โ Financial Analyst for its Institutional Mandate Relationship Southern Europe Division at its headquarters in Luxembourg.
Specific Post Environment
The Institutional Mandate Relationship Southern Europe Division is part of the Investment Office. Its main objective is to originate, manage and oversee EIF institutional mandates and maintain relationships with public and private mandators across Southern Europe, ensuring alignment with EIF's strategy, policy priorities and mandate frameworks.
Overall Objective
๐ค Support the implementation and coordination of private fundraising activities within the MORE team for ETCI 2.0
๐๏ธ Contribute to the preparation, organisation and consolidation of investor-related information and documentation
Responsibilities
Under the supervision of the Head of Unit, you will:
๐ Support the ongoing prospection of private institutional investors for ETCI 2.0 and assist the MORE team in fundraising activities, including developing presentation materials and coordinating logistical arrangements as required
๐๏ธ Coordinate the collection of presentation materials and legal documentation, update the CRM, and ensure relevant content is properly maintained in SharePoint and shared across the team and department for consistency and accessibility

Qualifications
๐ University degree (or ongoing studies) in Business Administration, Finance, Business Intelligence, Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Law or a related discipline; candidates may be enrolled in the final year of a master's degree
๐ Relevant coursework in private equity and venture capital, investment funds/fund-of-funds structures, financial markets and institutions, and data analysis is an advantage
๐ฆ Prior exposure to public financial institutions, national public banks or private equity environments, plus knowledge of EU financial instruments and regulatory frameworks, is an asset
๐ข Strong analytical and numerical skills, with good drafting and synthesis abilities
๐ป Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and good knowledge of other Microsoft 365 tools (Word, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint)
๐ฌ๐ง Excellent written and spoken English; knowledge of another EU language is an advantage
๐ก Basic understanding of EIF's mission, activities, products and the markets and legal frameworks relevant to its business, including related policies and priorities
๐ Basic understanding of finance, private investment or fundraising concepts
๐ผ Strong interest in private equity, fund-of-funds structures and institutional investors
โ Prior banking or finance experience is not required but is an asset
