Are you a young graduate interested in international relations, curious about the work of a diplomatic mission and how the EU represents its interests and values in Liberia? The EU Delegation to Liberia is offering a funded traineeship of up to 6 months in 2026 within its Political, Press and Information Section, with a tentative start in October 2026.


Main Tasks

๐Ÿ“ฐ Media monitoring: compile the daily press review by monitoring Liberian print, broadcast and online media to identify key trends and issues affecting EU interests

๐Ÿ›๏ธ Political reporting: conduct in-depth research on specific legislative developments (e.g. security sector reform, human rights) and contribute to drafting political briefings and reports

๐Ÿ“ฑ Public diplomacy: support the Press and Information Section by creating engaging content for the Delegation's social media platforms (X, Facebook) and drafting press releases

๐ŸŽŸ๏ธ Event management: provide logistical and content support for high-level events and press conferences

๐Ÿ“ Reporting: attend meetings at line ministries, local and international partners or civil society organisations and prepare high-quality minutes and summaries


Requirements

๐ŸŽ“ A recent university graduate (minimum a Bachelor's degree)

โณ Less than one year of professional experience after graduation by the signing of the agreement (other traineeships, student jobs or volunteering don't count as professional experience)

๐Ÿ‡ฌ๐Ÿ‡ง Excellent written and spoken English, with the ability to synthesise complex information into clear, concise English

๐Ÿ”Ž Strong research capabilities and a keen interest in the geopolitical dynamics of the West African region

๐ŸŽจ Proficiency in social media management and basic graphic design is highly desirable

๐ŸŒ High adaptability to a multicultural environment and the ability to work under tight deadlines


Who Can Apply

๐Ÿ‡ฑ๐Ÿ‡ท Taking into account local health and security conditions, only Liberian nationals currently residing in Liberia will be considered
