Hydrogen Europe is hiring an Energy Policy Intern to join its energy & infrastructure policy team in Brussels โ€” a chance to work at the centre of EU hydrogen and energy policy.

With more than 600 members, including 40+ European regions and 30+ national associations, it encompasses the entire value chain of the European hydrogen and fuel cell ecosystem. Its vision is to propel global carbon neutrality by accelerating the European hydrogen industry.



Main Responsibilities

๐Ÿ” Monitoring and reporting on EU-related news and key EU files, with a focus on their impact on hydrogen-related matters

๐Ÿ“„ Supporting the energy & infrastructure policy team in drafting position papers and responses to public consultations

๐Ÿ“ Following events and preparing briefings and documents for a variety of purposes and audiences

๐Ÿ’ป Assisting with internal meetings and teleconferences

๐Ÿค Supporting the organisation of Hydrogen Europe meetings with members and external stakeholders

๐Ÿ—‚๏ธ Assisting in the overall organisation and running of the team โ€” tracing deliverables and keeping documents in order

๐Ÿ—„๏ธ Updating internal databases



Requirements

๐ŸŽ“ A university or advanced degree (preferred) in Social Sciences (EU studies, Political Science, International Relations) or an energy-related topic

โšก Good knowledge of the energy field โ€” hydrogen is a big plus โ€” and of the Renewable Directive (REDIII) in particular

๐Ÿ—ฃ๏ธ An excellent command of spoken and written English; additional languages are a plus

๐Ÿง  The ability to analyse information and summarise it concisely

๐Ÿค Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

โฑ๏ธ Strong time management skills and an eye for detail

๐ŸŒฑ A high level of curiosity and willingness to learn about the hydrogen sector and membership organisations

๐ŸŽฏ The ability to meet deadlines and provide a high-quality service, even under pressure
