The MPA EMEA policy team is offering a full-time, paid 6-month internship in Brussels. You'll work closely with the MPA EMEA Policy Department, supporting the team across policy areas such as copyright, artificial intelligence, audiovisual policies and digital issues at both national and European level.


About the MPA

The Motion Picture Association serves as the global voice and advocate of the international film, television and streaming industry. Its members are Walt Disney Studios Pictures, Netflix Studios, Paramount Pictures, Prime Video & Amazon MGM Studios, Sony Pictures Entertainment, Universal City Studios and Warner Bros. Entertainment. The EMEA office, based in Brussels, opened in 1995, and its principal activities include legislative and regulatory work at European and national levels, content protection strategies and collaboration with other rightholder groups to promote intellectual property rights and the interests of the audiovisual sector.



What You'll Do

๐Ÿ” Monitoring EU developments, including key EU websites, with a focus on copyright, audiovisual policies, artificial intelligence, platform regulation, sustainability and other areas important to the MPA

๐Ÿ“ Attending and reporting on external events

๐Ÿค Providing organisational assistance in implementing engagement with the EU institutions



Requirements

โš–๏ธ A policy or law degree with a demonstrated interest in European affairs and an understanding of the EU decision-making process (previous professional experience within an EU institution is a plus)

๐Ÿ—ฃ๏ธ Professional fluency in English with excellent oral and written communication (additional languages are a plus)

๐Ÿ’ป Computer skills and knowledge of MS Office (experience with SharePoint is a plus)

๐ŸŽฏ Attention to detail, politeness and the ability to perform under pressure while respecting deadlines

๐Ÿค Solid organisational skills, a team-player and can-do attitude, and a willingness to take initiative

๐Ÿ“บ An understanding of digital regulation, media policy and copyright is a plus
