Description
We are currently searching for 1 volunteer for the movement team of the LSB Sportservice Brandenburg gGmbH approved project "Always on the move" in Potsdam. The volunteer will get familiar with the "on the move and health oriented" educational method by supporting the staff in their daily activities. Sport, movement and healthy lifestyle are the key words in the work of the Movement team. The volunteer will help the staff, will communicate with children and lead them to a healthier lifestyle. Main project activities: getting to know Brandenburg´s sports facilities as well as the organisation´s local and regional pre-schools; supporting the implementation of the educational concept "on the move" in the health and sports oriented childcare institutions of LSB SportService; supporting the team by providing children with a sport and healthy oriented lifestyle; supporting the team in the implementation of the annual motoric and eye movement (oculomotor) tests for children.
Accommodation, food and transport arrangements
Accommodation: The volunteer will live in one of our 3 ESC volunteer accommodations in Potsdam. Each volunteer has his/her own room in a well-furnished and fully equipped flat. A monthly food allowance of 345,00 € will be provided via bank transfer. Pocket money: 210,00 € will be provided via bank transfer monthly. Local Transport: The volunteer will be provided with a monthly ticket for the use of public transport (Deutschlandticket). The volunteer will also receive a bike.
Training during the activity
Our organization offers the volunteer the possibility to take part in a language course, according to their current level of German. All participants must take part in two mandatory ESC seminars during their project: On-Arrival and Mid-Term Training. These are opportunities to meet volunteers from other countries, to understand the EU values and to reflect on the ongoing project.
