Description
Gemeinsam mit unserem jungen Team (22–37 Jahre) verbindest du klassischen Tierschutz mit sozialer Arbeit, um das Tierheim zu einem sozialen Lernort zu entwickeln. Du sorgst nicht nur dafür, dass es unseren Hunden und Katzen an nichts fehlt, sondern öffnest das Tierheim auch für die Gesellschaft. Dein Tag ist wie folgt aufgeteilt: Vormittags packst du direkt bei der Tierpflege mit an. Nachmittags widmest du dich den Medien, Events und der sozialen Arbeit. Dabei machst du das Tierheim-Leben sichtbar, erstellst mit Canva Content für Social Media und unterstützt uns bei Veranstaltungen sowie bei Kooperationen mit sozialen Organisationen. Das Besondere: Eupen liegt direkt im Dreiländereck (BE-NL-DE) und in unmittelbarer Nähe zum französischsprachigen Sprachraum der Wallonie.
Accommodation, food and transport arrangements
Für dein Lernen und den nötigen Support wirst du durch einen Mentor oder Tutor begleitet und erhältst am Ende einen offiziellen Youthpass für deine Kompetenzen. Finanziell bist du durch ein monatliches Taschengeld inklusive Verpflegungsgeld sowie eine Reisekostenerstattung abgesichert. Zudem wohnst du kostenlos mit zwei internationalen Freiwilligen in einer WG in Eupen, was dir direkt Anschluss garantiert. Auch deine Sprachförderung kommt nicht zu kurz: Neben dem Online-Kurs der EU (OLS) kannst du direkt in Eupen einen Präsenz-Sprachkurs für Französisch oder bei Bedarf für Deutsch besuchen.

Direkt vor der Haustür erwartet dich Natur pur im Hohen Venn, dem größten Hochmoor Europas. Du erlebst ein einzigartiges Flair aus deutscher Gründlichkeit und belgisch-französischem Lebensgefühl. Die Lage ist perfekt für Tages- und Wochenendausflüge: Per Zug oder Bus bist du schnell an der Nordseeküste, in Brüssel, Gent, Brügge, Lüttich, Aachen, Maastricht oder Luxemburg. Interesse?
