Description
The Centre SNJ Hollenfels offers children and youth groups a wide range of activities for direct experience in nature and the environment. The primary goal of all activities is to experience, understand and do things together in nature. The Centre SNJ Hollenfels also offers training in the field of nature and environmental didactics for teachers and educators in non-formal education. The aim is to inspire educational professionals for nature education and to expand their skills in this area. Task description:
- Support for the administrative and educational team
- Educational work with children and young people
- Design of new activities and teaching materials within the educational teamโs working groups
- Assistance in organizing training courses, seminars and conferences
- Support for the educational team in their network work (national and international)
Accommodation, food and transport arrangements
The accommodation is situated in Marienthal (at 700 meters from the offices at Hollenfels). It is an accommodation reserved for volunteers and students of the SNJ organization. It is situated in a rural aria. The volunteer must provide for his own food (there is a shared kitchen at the accommodation) Public transportation in Luxembourg is free of charges. A shared car at low expenses is provided at the accommodation
Training during the activity
The volunteer will be integrated in the team of the Centre SNJ Hollenfels. He/she will be provided with a personal tutor and a supplementary confidence person. He/she will be able to participate in all trainings offered by the center. A personal development plan will be established and further training can be provided according to that plan. On-line language classes can be provided.
Participant profile
The volunteer should have a special interest in nature and education. Prior experiences in the field is an advantage. The Centre SNJ Hollenfels is an institution in the field of non-formal education. It would be of interest if the volunteer will have a back-ground or field of interest in education. Speaking German,is a must. !!
