โ๏ธWhat Is This Training About?
The Erasmus+ mobility project โWhen Should We Feel Discriminated / When Are We Discriminated?โ is a training course designed for youth workers, educators, facilitators, and NGO representatives who work with young people from diverse backgrounds.
๐๏ธ How Erasmus+ youth projects create lasting change in local communities. The impact of Erasmus+ goes far beyond the individuals who participate. Local communities, host organisations, and even entire neighbourhoods are shaped by the projects that take place within them. This article explores the broader social impact of Erasmus+ youth exchanges โ from building intercultural understanding to empowering grassroots organisations โ and makes a compelling case for why these projects matter beyond the personal level. ๐ https://youthworkshub.org/3595/
โน๏ธ Description About The Opportunity
The mobility aims to help participants better understand the mechanisms of discrimination in everyday life, identify situations where discrimination is visible or hidden, and develop practical tools to promote inclusion, empathy, equality, and active participation among young people. Through workshops, theatre methods, role-play activities, reflection sessions, storytelling, and community-based exercises, participants strengthen their competences in conflict prevention, emotional awareness, communication, and inclusive youth work practices.
The project also encourages intercultural exchange and cooperation between organizations from different countries, creating a safe environment where participants can share personal experiences, challenge social assumptions, and build strategies for combating discrimination within their communities. The mobility promotes European values such as diversity, solidarity, democracy, respect, and human dignity while supporting the professional and personal development of youth workers.
