DESCRIPTION
TECHO Peru has diversified its projects in line with the needs of local communities, launching food donation campaigns to tackle food insecurity, and setting up vaccination programmes and health centres to improve infrastructure and expand service capacity. Since 2001, TECHO Peru has worked in over 650 informal settlements across the regions of Callao, Lima, Ica, Piura, La Libertad, Lambayeque, Ancash, Arequipa, Moquegua and Tacna. To date, we are active in 34 informal settlements in Lima. This represents a support role in the recruitment, organisation and mentoring of TECHO Peru volunteers, helping to strengthen the processes of recruitment, training and deployment in local activities. You will be responsible for providing support in putting together teams based on profiles, participating in or leading training sessions, and supporting field leaders, ensuring a well-organised, meaningful volunteering experience that is aligned with the organisationโs mission.
ACCOMMODATION, FOOD AND TRANSPORT ARRANGEMENTS
The volunteer will have established work spaces, so that s/he can develop the tasks assigned to her/him and will be provided with the necessary inputs for the provision of assistance; Accompaniment by TECHO Peru's board of directors and by the assigned mentor; Participation in training spaces organized by TECHO Peru for the permanent team. The volunteer will be provided with a monthly allowance of 650EUR and accommodation, as well as a return flight ticket to and from the country of origin. A health insurance scheme will be provided and all costs related to the briefing/debriefing covered.

โ Take part in or lead training sessions for volunteers and fieldwork leaders.
โ Develop leadership, effective communication, operational planning and teamwork skills.
PARTICIPANT PROFILE
โ Qualifications: Qualified professionals or final-year students in fields such as Social Sciences, Social Work, Psychology, Education, Business Administration, Project Management, International Relations, International Cooperation, Sociology, Political Science or related disciplines.
โ Languages: Spanish is desirable. Proficiency in English or other languages is an advantage, to facilitate coordination with international volunteers or partners.
โ Software skills (desirable): โ Intermediate or advanced proficiency in Google Workspace: Drive, Sheets, Docs, Forms and Calendar. โ Basic proficiency in design tools such as Canva for creating recruitment materials, training resources or internal communications. โ Knowledge of databases, forms and information systematisation.
โ Skills: โ Knowledge of the 2030 Agenda and the Sustainable Development Goals. โ Knowledge of or interest in volunteer management, youth participation, community leadership and community-based work. โ Ability to support processes involving recruitment, selection, team building and training of volunteers, as well as supporting leaders in the field. โ Soft Skills: โ Commitment. โ Creativity and innovation โ Proactivity. โ Leadership โ Effective communication โ Effective organisation โ Ability to work in a team TECHO Peru has an equal opportunities policy and accepts applications without distinction based on gender, race, colour, ethnic or social origin, genetic characteristics, language, religion or belief, political or other opinion, membership of a national minority, property, birth, disability, age or sexual orientation. Eligibility : Candidates must be 18 to 35 years old, reside in one of the eligible countries (EU Member State, North Macedonia, Iceland, Liechtenstein or Turkey), have completed the compulsory Humanitarian Aid Volunteering training and not have participated before in individual Humanitarian Aid Volunteering. When adding together this new volunteering opportunity and any previous participation in EU volunteering programmes, the total duration cannot exceed 12 months.
