A coastal village 70 km from Riga, a beach 4 km away, and twelve days of genuinely structured leadership development with young people from three countries. This Erasmus+ Youth Exchange is for those who want to grow โ€” not just travel.

LEAD โ€” Learn, Empower, Act, Develop is an Erasmus+ Youth Exchange bringing together young people from Latvia, Czechia, and Greece in Liepupe, Latvia. The project helps participants develop essential leadership skills through interactive learning and hands-on activities โ€” exploring civic engagement, democracy, and social innovation while building confidence, cross-cultural cooperation, and a strong sense of European identity.

What Is This Project About?

The exchange is structured across three connected phases, each building on the last:

๐ŸŒฑ Phase 1 โ€” Days 1 to 2: Foundations

Creating a safe and supportive group environment. Participants get to know each other, build trust, and explore what leadership really means through interactive quizzes, roleplays, and creative activities. Reflecting on values, challenging biases, and learning respectful digital communication โ€” establishing the foundations for teamwork and inclusive leadership.

๐Ÿ”ฅ Phase 2 โ€” Days 3 to 8: Deepening

Participants deepen their leadership skills through work on resilience, empathy, and collaboration. Through debates, group challenges, outdoor reflections, and creative storytelling, they learn to manage stress, listen actively, and understand different perspectives. Digital skills are strengthened through activities on online safety, ethical influence, and content creation.

๐Ÿš€ Phase 3 โ€” Days 9 to 10: Bringing It Together

Reflection and future planning. Participants review key leadership concepts, evaluate their personal growth, and co-create practical tools and digital content to share project results. The exchange ends with dissemination planning, feedback, and a closing reflection that strengthens motivation to apply leadership skills in their local communities.
