๐Ÿ‡ง๐Ÿ‡ช Erasmus+ Internship in Belgium ๐ŸŽ“ Youth Projects Trainee ๐ŸŒ Active Citizenship & Non-Formal Learning, Brussels ๐Ÿ‡ง๐Ÿ‡ช

The Erasmus Student Network (ESN) international headquarters in Brussels, Belgium is looking for a Youth Projects Trainee to join its Projects team. ESN is the largest student network in Europe, active in over 500 higher education institutions across 44 countries. This Erasmus+ traineeship offers hands-on experience in youth project management, non-formal education, and international event coordination โ€” at the heart of European student mobility since 1989.

๐ŸŒ Did You Know? Brussels is not only the capital of Belgium but also the de facto capital of the European Union, home to the European Commission, the European Parliament, and hundreds of international organisations โ€” making it one of the world's most influential cities for youth policy, advocacy, and civil society work.

What Will You Do?

๐Ÿ“‹ Project Planning & Reporting: Support the planning, implementation, and reporting of ongoing projects and activities within the Project and Partnership Department โ€” covering Active Citizenship, Youth Work Recognition, and Health & Well-being of International Students.
๐Ÿ” Research & Output Creation: Assist Project Officers with desk research and the creation of project deliverables and outputs.
๐ŸŽช International Event Organisation: Support the organisation of training events and capacity-building activities for ESN volunteers and members across Europe.

๐ŸŒฑ Non-Formal Learning Development: Contribute to the development of non-formal learning processes, tools, and opportunities within ESN's training ecosystem.
๐Ÿค Internal & External Projects: Help implement both internal and external projects related to training and development, and assist the Board and Secretariat with emerging tasks in the learning and development field.
๐ŸŒ Did You Know? Non-formal education (NFE) is a cornerstone of European youth policy. Unlike classroom learning, NFE uses experiential methods โ€” simulations, workshops, outdoor activities โ€” to develop competences like teamwork, intercultural dialogue, and civic engagement. The European Commission officially recognises NFE outcomes through tools like Youthpass.
